Danny Werfel, director of Boston Consulting Group, discusses the release of the President’s Management Agenda, and what it means for technology utilization in the federal government.
The Office of Management and Budget released the President’s Management Agenda this morning. While the plan is full of references to I.T. modernization, it places cross-agency collaboration as a top priority. “If you think about a modernized government, it really starts and ends with technology as a focus point, so I think that the approach rightfully has the center of gravity on what to do with technology to make government work more effectively,” said Danny Werfel, director of Boston Consulting Group. “To be successful in changing the way that government does business, you really have to have a strategy around technology, the use of data, how you’re going to change for the better the talent, the people and the skills they have to move it forward.”
