President Biden has a new executive order about revitalizing the national security workforce. Part of that process will include inspiring the next generation of national security leaders.
- Katherine Kuzminski, Senior Fellow and Director of the Military, Veterans and Society Program at the Center for a New American Security, said although “Zoom burnout” is real, video communication tools have reduced barriers to entry in the national security community.
- New technological infrastructure put in place during the pandemic has allowed for more interaction between national security leaders and talent across the country, said Kuzminski.
- Kuzminski said DC think tanks will likely host hybrid events after the pandemic that are both virtual and in person.
