The International Donor Coordination Center is located in Stuttgart, Germany, headquarters of U.S. European Command (EUCOM). The purpose is to field Ukraine’s requests for weapons and get them from where they are to where they need to be.
- In the “startup-like environment” of the coordination cell, troops from over 30 countries are planning almost every Western dollar going into Ukraine, said Jack Detsch, Pentagon and national security reporter for Foreign Policy.
- Ukrainians are relaying information from the front lines in the Donbas to American and British officials, said Detsch.
- He said the process is more streamlined than it originally was, when Americans and Brits were working separately and unknowingly duplicating efforts.
