NavalX connects the needs and challenges of the United States Navy to solution providers across industry, academia and the rest of the Defense Department. The ultimate goal is to get capabilities to the warfighter faster.
- Captain Benjamin Van Buskirk, director of NavalX, said the mission has three parts: rapidly enabling stakeholders to deliver capabilities, serving as a platform to connect naval challenges with partners and leading cultural change.
- NavalX strives to build on existing infrastructure and bring together industry, academia and the defense ecosystem, said Van Buskirk.
- He said a group of NavalX Marines started the Centers for Adaptive Warfighting (CAW) to apply industry ideas, such as scrum and agile, to a military context.
