The Small Business Administration is looking to improve service to not only their business customers, but the employees who staff the agency. This goal forms one of the cornerstones of the SBA’s current modernization efforts. Sanjay Gupta, Chief Technology Officer at the Small Business Administration, says that the agency is looking to bring the login.gov system to their enterprise as part of this work.
“One of the things that our small business entities have faced is multiple user IDs and passwords, they interact with multiple systems and as part of that they have to create multiple user IDs and passwords. So, as part of our first priority of improving customer experience, we are implementing the SBA Connect platform which allows them to create a user ID and password one time, and allows them to use the same user ID and password across multiple SBA systems, and that way it will help improve the customer experience. Login.gov is basically a shared services identity management system.”
