The Defense Department continues to increase spending on the Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2), but the bump in funding for that program comes with hurdles to making it actually joint and interoperable.
- Nick Sinai, former deputy chief technology officer at the White House, now senior advisor at Insight Partners, said there have been promising developments but there is still a long way to go to ensure seamless data flow across military platforms and services.
- Sinai said open standards and open architecture are a must and the deputy secretary of defense and chief data officer are focused on this.
- He said the highest priority for investments in JADC2 should be capabilities that can be fielded today.
