There are a number of openings in the inspector general community. The Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency will track these openings on their website, Oversight.gov. Michael Horowitz, CIGIE chairman and inspector general at the Department of Justice, says that maintaining the website is key to fulfilling the objectives of IG offices in the modern day.
“We had a hope that it would used and that it would become a vital database. What we have seen over the last 18 months confirms it is. We now have almost 12,000 IG reports on it,” Horowitz said. “What we’re seeing is there’s a demand for it, there’s a use for it, and we’re looking to build out various functions that our users will find incredibly helpful.”
