Mika Cross, federal workplace expert, discusses new strategies for managing the growing government workforce, and how small changes now can create long term solutions.
The Senior Executives Association’s Presidential Rank Awards Leadership Summit will recognize the achievements of federal workers. At the event on December 13, keynotes, panels and other workshops will put federal employee issues under the microscope. Federal workplace expert Mika Cross is organizing a programming track at the event, where managers can discuss how to properly implement reforms, and future-proof their workforce. Cross has previously led a full day workshop on similar issues, and says that small changes now can lead to long term solutions. “At the same time that we’re forecasting for the future, we can’t neglect what’s going on right now. Part of this workshop is around thinking about innovations and actionable items that people can take back to their agencies right now, and resources to be able to make small scale change, that will ultimately lead to longer term transformation,” Cross said.
