Stacie Alboum, deputy director of the Center for Information Technology at the National Institutes of Health details NIH’s enterprise-wide cyber safety projects, and the buy-in they’re receiving across the agency.

The National Institutes of Health are taking a whole of agency approach to building out their cyber safety plan. Stacie Alboum, deputy director of the Center for Information Technology at the National Institutes of Health, says that ensuring the right culture is one of the best methods of building out cybersecurity.

“At the end of the day, the goal of what we are trying to do here is quite simple; to protect our people and our science. We are embedding cybersecurity into our digital transformation efforts and our everyday culture,” Alboum said. “I personally believe that culture can be a sense of strength for any organization. And that is the case with optimized NIH IT security.”
