The Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) has a new future of work concept that encourages soldiers to work where and when they’re most productive. The concept includes remote work, flexible schedules and new technology.
- John Willison, DEVCOM Deputy to the Commanding General, said the “why” and “what” of their future of work is staying the same, but the “where,” “how,” “who” and “when” are changing.
- The major pieces of the concept include working when and where you’re most productive, attracting and retaining the best talent anywhere and connecting virtually.
- DEVCOM will measure the success of the document by how well they are doing in the competition to attract and retain talent and in implementing their critical mission for the Army.
