In the private sector, American citizens can do nearly everything online. They aren’t required to walk into an office or a branch for every minor transaction they need to complete. That’s not the way it is some parts of the government – especially the Social Security Administration. But it should be. In the future, end-to-end-transactions currently completed in a field office will be accomplished online. That depends – at least for SSA – on a secure digital identity. This 30-minute program brings together thought leaders from the public and private sectors for a look at challenges to, and best practices for that transformation.
