For the Defense Department (DoD), warehouses are bustling supply hubs that work around the clock to support and sustain the warfighter and ensure mission readiness. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is integrating automation as it moves towards fully digitized operations and distribution for real-time accountability. With a framework built on 5G to support the Internet of Things (IoT), DLA and its customers will be able to see where an item is, what condition it is in and how quickly it can be moved. This program explores the roadmap to this connected enterprise of equipment, material handlers and supply technicians at DLA.
