Dave McClure, Principal Director of CIO Advisory Services at Accenture Federal Services, discusses what agencies will face as TMF proposals move into phase two, and how agencies sending late proposals can still get a piece of the funding.
While Federal CIO Suzette Kent told Government Matters that four proposals had moved to phase two of Technology Modernization Fund selections, the board is still open for submissions. What should agencies sending their plans now do to guarantee funding? “Suzette and Joanne Collins Smee have made it very clear that whichever agencies are making submissions for the modernization fund need to pay attention to the criteria and the guidelines that have been laid out for how those decisions will be made,” said Dave McClure, Principal Director of CIO Advisory Services at Accenture Federal Services. “The early process is a short, two-page proposal, the second phase is a much more lengthy business case that gets into cost estimation, expected results, citizen impact, movement to cloud, very specific things that they are looking for.”
