The art of the (government contracting) deal
It’s a question government contractors ask all the time: How can we plan for our next big meeting and position ourselves to win the contract?
Last week, the Government Contractor Training and Education Consortium (GC-TEC) offered a few tips during a seminar at the Tower Club in Tysons Corner, Va.
Keynote speaker Lee Dougherty said it’s an important topic because, even if a contractor masters the technical details, they can come up short in face-to-face meetings.
Dougherty said an effective agenda, a knowledge of who is going to be in the meeting, a tailored presentation, and an after-action review can go a long way.
